When a magician believes in something and the same with artists, they're actually giving a gift of belief. And it's when you say I believe in equal rights, you're sort of giving an energy to that idea. So for religion and science, something has to earn belief by showing results or being accepted by authority. But for art and magic, belief is a gift you give to it and it can repay you for that.
