The Early Life of a Frenchman

There are some holes in the story of de gare's early life. He would have still been basically a baby, not even two years old, when the bastille was stormed in 17 89. In 18 hundred louis de gare drew a portrait of his parents. The skill that he exhibited with this portrait led toi being offered an enticeship. Not exactly with an artist, though, it was with an architect.
