The Uncertain Day: The Barge Trip

Tom's recovery was more or less unheard of, a unique case. Unlike antibiotics, doctors in the US didn't have a century of research to look to. This was new ground. And what I did was work with Stephanie and put together a center for phage research. Things have really picked up since that time. Companies are beginning to spring up. So the whole field has radically changed since that day. But it's good to see him back wandering around San Diego and coming to dinner and being Tom again. That's fantastic having you back.
