Is Smoking a Cause of Cancer?
There's this conflation between statistical support and cause that people make. My grandmother smoked for 50 years and didn't develop blunt, which is interesting to me because i don't doubt the statistics. But presumably there was something going on with my grandmother in some weird way that didn't actually lead to her having a cancer. No one's denying the correlation. These guys have their statistics. They have billions and billions of numbers that are there but that's not a cause. That's just a way of finding the cause.
