Vickery provided no explanations for his results or any other details about his study to the public, claiming it was part of a confidential patent. Years later, stuart rogers interviewed the theatre where vickary supposedly conducted the experiment, and the theatre manager said that no such test ever happened at that theatre. In a television interview in 19 62 for advertising age, vickary admitted that the original study was a gimmicand that the amount of data was too small to be meaningful.
