The O Shot - Dr. Marshall Didn't Do It. Dr. Reynolds Did.

Dr. Reynolds claims that the skepticism was only because cutting out ulcers was big business and other doctors had no financial interest in alternative treatments. This claim is undercut by the fact that Barry Marshall received funding from a major medical institution to spend a whole year conducting his research. By contrast, Dr. Reynolds did not go from shooting his own dick or his girlfriend's labia full of blood to conducting double blind clinical trials. Instead, he left right to selling the O shot. He just starts marketing this thing after he decides it's effective. That should be a fucking crime. But it's not.
