The Desires That Go Toward Happiness
If King Lear is unhappy and he seeks his happiness in objective experience then his desire is going towards happiness. In the other case we seek happiness in our self just ask yourself at any moment of experience it is my happiness dependent upon or have I invested my Happiness in objective experience. If we have done so we are destined sooner or later for misery that's a fact.
