How Failures Are More Important Than Successes
When I couldn't hold a conversation, it made me completely reexamine my approach when I switched from Croatian to Spanish. The knowledge that other people are not laughing at me does not mean that I can't laugh at myself. When I knew exactly which specific areas had caused me problems in a prior learning experience, I was able to ask for and use help in my new experience. And it made an enormous difference. It's something that Benny and I share with you.
