The History of Athens

In 547 BC a man named Poseistratus came into Athens with a very tall woman by his side who he claimed was Athena. He actually reduced taxes and gave free loans to people who wanted to build up their farms. The agriculture in Athens flourished because of the policies of their new ruler.
