Are You Going to Stay in Charge or Am I Taking Over?

Coming from an ER background is that we don't usually get stories on people, right? Having a story, having background is luxury. Sometimes it's important luxury; sometimes it's completely irrelevant. But really what I want to do is make sure I'm able to deliver the care that I can right at the beginning. So organizing that team around our first priorities, pads on, is there IV access? Are we giving oxygen to this person? Way, way, way more important than understanding what this man's story is at the start.
