I think if you had a cryptocurrency that both had a reasonably stable value in terms of dollars or euros or Swiss francs, it would become a serious alternative to conventional currencies. And I know some clever ways that some of the people not Bitcoin, but with the second most popular currency have some interesting ideas about that because I discussed it with them a few years ago. The basic problem is you need an oracle. It requires that ether can find out who won the bet. That's sort of an interesting and interesting project, which requires ingenuity to solve.
