When you grow up in a bog standard council street working class childhood there is no theatre. There are no books on the show. Why would there be books on the shelf? Books are boring. We didn't go to theatre in the holidays or museums and we just chilled out in the garden, that was it. And then the big thing was a curry or a takeaway on Saturday. That was the big massive operatic thing we look forward to or all inclusive for a week in Spain. You weren't aware of that whole alternative comedy. Zero.
