How Do Chrome Extension Updates Work?
Chrome extensions are updated in a sort of rolling and automated fashion. If you do accidentally ship a breaking change, typically like you just have to sort of cross your fingers and hope that the Chrome extension gets pushed out quickly. There's no going back from this. I think you can just cross. The typical client server integration through an API is really difficult.
