The Importance of Hugging Face in the Machine Learning Community

GitHub famously is the one website that the Chinese government cannot block because it is so central to developers in China. If you're in the community, you are on Hugging Face. There's just no way to avoid it. As you have more and more researchers and more and more of the engineers on board, everyone else has to join as well. I imagine it falls in the same trap of GitHub for the Chinese regulators where they would love to control everything on the web. But there are just some things that they cannot if they want access to the cutting edge and state- art technologies that are available.
