The Germany of World War I
If Britain had not intervened, then German war aims would have been different. It's not likely that Germany would have attempted to annex all or part of Belgium. In a counterfactual world where the war is limited, it doesn't last so long, you actually avoid the Russian Revolution. At least you avoid a Russian Revolution that puts the Bolsheviks in power. That surely is a preferable world to the one we got. Absolutely.
