A lot of universities are becoming intolerant of ideas that are just deemed socially responsible or on appealing and I think that's bad. If you can't say something negative about any topic safely if you're afraid of losing your friends because you express a political opinion for half the country then maybe we're being too sensitive, he says. "I would love to layer on additional levels of like civility understanding and compassion and like nuance and a few other nice things" Hank: We need to encourage that everywhere you don't respond to incivility within civility you have to set a higher standard in that here to it.
