The Power of Guilty Pleasure Movies
Super 8 is a guilty pleasure to me. I like the student film at the end of it when he's putting that student film together. When I watched the movie, I could feel like this was never conceived of as one coherent story or one coherent movie and it didn't work for me. But you know what? That's the beautiful thing about guilty pleasure movies. Everybody kind of likes that. Guilty pleasure movies should be a movie that a lot of other people don't like and you acknowledge why they don't like them, but it works for you, right? Like a good guilty pleasure movie for me is Armageddon. Oh, God. Vanilla ice is cool as ice. Horrible movie
