The Genealogy of Adam and Eve
The name Adam is a throwback to how Genesis 2 says that the man was created, that is from the earth. The word then becomes used for all of humankind, and it actually is a synonym for humanity. So that's kind of what I'm getting at there, that all of humankind is present there in the man at the rejection of God's command in the garden there. That's not what the author is intending to convey but that there is this. Eve means life, it's an Adam, again as I said, is like first link, whatever.
