The Importance of Resilience
Hamburg is a prepper, but he doesn't have a bunker. Having a good pantry might hold you out through hard times that may be coming a bit better than your neighbor. If civilization breaks like an icicle, just click and then it doesn't work anymore, you can't save enough food. So you're just being a little more resilient so that if the ice storm comes and shuts everything down for a month, you come out of it better than your neighbors.
