Luke is named after Uncle Lucas, played by one of the great comic actors of all time, Leslie Nielsen. He married B. Arthur, who's one of the greatest comedic actresses of all time. So it is not in honor of Luke Skywalker. It could have been, but Mark Hamill and Kathleen Kennedy and Disney ruined Star Wars. I wanted to keep the name Luke, Uncle Lucas, Luke, there you go.
