In many ways, I think William's military strategy shares a lot in common with Bill O'Reilly's famous meltdown. If there had been email, he would have written so many emails right then. But the internet hadn't been invented yet, so you'd just have to take the walls and teach these yokels who was in charge. And you would do it, with terror. This was a man who reportedly beat his intended bride, Matilda, because she wasn't quick enough to accept his proposal. A man who had just carved out a man's eyes simply to communicate that his feelings were a bit hurt. And now these filthy fucking Englishmen were farting at him? Absolutely
