Do We Need a Global Privacy Agreement?
There is definitely a call from privacy professionals, organizations and governments to find more stable arrangements. I think we're clearly a very long way away from having all 190 countries in the world sign up to such an arrangement. What we're talking about is leveraging the commonalities that exist around different factors. There are some interesting economies and players and playmakers in this space. Japan is an example of a country to watch here. Their late prime anesticians are they coined the term data free flow of trust, put it on the agenda of the G20. And now that is really spurring and driving a lot of the initiatives here.
