The Gologs Labor Camps

Five million people were decolokized during the Soviet Union's collectivization program. The arrested and dispossessed, sometimes whole familis,sometimes whole villages, were loaded on to cattle trains and taken across the country. Living conditions were herendis, those who even survived the journey to the camps died of starvation and disease and exposure. Those who tried to flee were subject to recapture, abuse, punishment and execution.
