The First Chinese Sailor to Circonnavigate the World

Jai was forced to enter a US naval base on the island over Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. The incident's happy outcome boded well for his ambitious goal of sailing around the globe alone. In August 2009, he completed the journey, becoming the first Chinese sailor to do so. This journey took him 935 days and stretched 35,000 nautical miles.
