Five Places to Visit in Berlin
The Lusgarten, the Pleasure Garden at the eastern end of Unter den Linden on the museum island is where one can see the four estates of society. The first museum now called the Altus was built at the same time as the British Museum. And its role was to exhibit art both to educate and aggrandize the nation. It's a central dome was modeled like the Pantheon. I just love the optimism, the cultural mission.
