Is There a Value System in Silicon Valley?

In the game design literature and in the gambling literature, there's this concept of a ludic loop. But it's also so okay, here's something I noticed. This is very sneaky. The rate by which that number goes up slows down again. It gets exciting where it becomes too easily and too quickly. Does they just scale it? It makes it make total sense!
