I'm just taking the mic-y out of me. For example, to be honest at school, I just kept my head down and just did lots of studying. Another -another one, um, means go to the toilet. It's a polite way to mean go to the toilets. So, yeah, you know what, I-I-hmm, on a new guitar. All right? You threw a spanner in the works with that one, didn't you? all right? Get to the point. Too much ww-too much waffle. Yeah? Are you serious? No, I'm not serious. What? Stop winging. How about this?
Finally, here is the third part of this series about English slang words and expressions that most British people know, but which will probably confuse almost everyone else!
