The Use-Tovo Culture - A History of the Steppe
The Use-tovo culture looks very much like the melding of two different groups, farmers and steppe herders. The newcomers buried their chieftains with weapons and rich offerings and raised kergens. What we see here appears to be a process of back and forth assimilation between these two groups - albeit with the herders from the steppe holding the whip hand.
