Richard Pryor and Mary Hart

Bob Greene met Richard Pryor when he was doing something at the comedy show on Sunset Boulevard. He and his wife, Mary Hart, were friends for many years before they became close enough to have a funeral together. "I never, ever in all the years with Richard ever saw him take a drug," Greene says of their friendship.
