The Wild West of Insurers

This week on When the Facts Change I talked to Dr Michael Naylor who is an expert in climate finance and insurance and banking. He said there's nothing to stop you from going into an open home, putting your money down, buying the house and suddenly discovering you can't insure it. And this means that climate change is something that will flow through into the estimates that insurers have of the risk of particular properties. It's all very topical and ever present at the moment because of what's happened with cyclones, hail and cyclone Gabrielle.
