The Origin of Money
i don't believe that money arose either from bart or within a community, ala the nea, classical austrian story. It origin ded in the commodity variang of mark's theory, which is this idea of we're going to trade commodities a cross boundaries and find a universal equivalent for them. If you send gold, a weight of gold, to another country to get something, well that's the direct exchange. I wopping gold for stuff. But i would not define that as money, and i don't see that as the origin of money. And there were very few examples so far, of feared money in the way that we know it to day. One wonders whether the
