The Richness of Modern Fantasy

I was in the middle of reading through like Sanderson's Stormlight sure yeah I've basically when Brett you know hand me the pitch document and I was like man this does feel the richness of avium. The potential for this entire universe really reminded me of um a lot of sort of early Sanderson, Tolkien and even Earthsea trilogies. So it's interesting here is to see not just more modern elements more broadly but also the fact that like modern fantasy is not strictly just orcs and yes like Tolkien'sLike it obviously so much is owed back to that original world ideas but the idea that this can mean something more than the aesthetic you have been used to and seen isn't
