Marian hollands was one of the best all round athletes in the history of athletics. She picked up golf when she was in her forties, or something like iner thirties. The famous cypress story is that she was walking the course with the then architect of cypruss before he died. And she lamented that they couldn't build a hole in this one area because no one would be able to hit the ball over the ocean. You can see some of these women actually in um in the movie, pat mike am the woment, catherine hepburn and spencer tracy as golfer.
