The Face Magazine published an article last year analyzing the different niche youth communities on TikTok. TJ Siju wrote for it, rumors of the demise of subcultures are wingingly exaggerated. I feel like it's kind of immature in a way to categorize your style to fit a specific aesthetic. The thing you bought in 2020 to fit the e-girl or cottagecore lifestyle are pretty tired and honestly ugly now. Just feeds into the capitalism of micro trends, IMO.
