The Importance of Social Media
i see quite a bit these days where people are involved in social media and they put their public face out there. Even though it might be bad information that's coming into their noggin every day they still do it. i quit facebook a few years back really three years ago now and when i did it was like an immediate 10% boost in productivity and happiness. I think of facebook as sort of the new philip morris in terms of its contribution to society I think it's very powerful but if all you're doing is talking with people are arguing politics with people on social media i think the damage can be considerable and the upside is limited.
