The Role of CCTA in Chest Pain Patients
The data is pretty definitive. CCTA does not help or low-risk chest pain patients, but it is going to cause harm from increased downstream testing. It's not a bad test, especially with the newer versions that give you functional data as well. You can't possibly prevent MI or death if there were only 13 bad outcomes in the 4500 patients that you study. But maybe it would be helpful in a higher risk patients.
