Is There a Doctrinal Statement on Universalism?

The idea that there are some who can possibly eternally be in hell is part of the teaching for the Catholic and the Orthodox. There have been attempts by scholars to determine theological lysality of the notion of universalism, but they've all come back with pretty much the same conclusion: It's not a doctrine. I can't teach universalism as a doctrine, but that it's a tolerable, it's an acceptable the oligumenon. That should be sufficient evidence that what he's arguing for is probably wrong.
