The Incentive Alignment of Incentives in India
In India doctors often treat as God there's a big culture of not questioning what doctors say. This is particularly acute in the case of maternal health but recently I've had long COVID since August and I've realized this is also true for that. In India they are prescribing steroids willy nilly right and pretty high dosage of steroids. Long COVID comes with very bronchitis kind of symptoms a lot of lung issues a lot of coughing. So there is a lots of relief when you give a harsh dose or a strong dose of steroids to reduce those symptoms.
