Facebook Shops: A New Way to Optimize Your Ad Campaign
BeforeATT, an ad that you click on would send the artifact of that conversion back to Meta. Now Facebook wants to wrap its arms around that same data with first party privileges. The fact that they've doubled down on it probably shows it has legs and is a viable pathway to regaining some of that signal that they lost. It's kind of ironic because I remember when I first got into sort of social network working at the 2009 or 10 platforms,. It was like cheesy line: "content community and commerce" But now every big scaled consumer tech company is trying to achieve those goals.
