The Legacy of Side Folders

There's a huge physical component to it. It's the thing that a lot of American actors in particular don't put much thinking into. And so the physicality of not only how does my character inhabit and move through space, is there an animal? Is there an idea that informs my body in a different way? Then, you know, with the text, what am I physically doing? What actions are being played through all this? What am I trying to get the other actors or other characters rather to do in any given scene?
