The Relationship Between Some and Any

There are nine different types of these in-definites. There's specific known, specific unknown. That's like I heard something but I couldn't tell you what. So there's a relationship between those patterns and that's not surprising. It can get a little goofy, but it's interesting to think about the subtleties in what these words mean. All of these have a unique strategy in at least one language in the world.
