Don't Think About Your Swing
Many of us have had the experience of playing some really good golf and then thinking, you know, Christ, I didn't actually think about my swing at any point in that round. People with a larger working memory capacity - ability to hold on to information in their head -- tended to get better with an intervention. We also looked at other cognitive traits such as whether people were predominantly had a processing style of being auditory or more visual. And again, there was quite a big difference there. The verbalizers that were called, the auditory people found the intervention, again, a lot more helpful.
