What Do You Do?
When you don't play roles, anymore, you don't have to become strange. You can actually talk quite normally without being identified with what you say. And that is what people mean by what do you do, really, isn't it, for the most part? Yes. When you go to a doctor who's playing the role of doctor, he often doesn't see you, the person, because he's playing the Role. He has become so identified with his function that the function has taken him over and he has become a role. So, and many patients can actually feel that when they go to a doctors, whether there's a human being still there or not.
