Anders Nygren's the Four Loves
This Anders Nygren book really got under his skin. He would read something that really stimulated him, but he disagreed with and felt like he needed to think more clearly about it. You can't see this is entirely good or entirely bad. It's like the notes on a keyboard in terms of the symphony. So he had this topic on his mind for many, many years before he got to four loves. I'm glad he had a chance before he died in 1963 to really explicate it very carefully and thoughtfully.
