The Pandemic and the Political Revolutions in the United States
There has been a very long running, actually record breaking, strike of nurses at the saint vincent hospital in wester massachusetts. There was a serious threat of a strike among nursing home workers throughout new england where they demanded 20 dollars an hour and pensions. And this last strike at john deer is especially significant because the rank and file workers insisted on getting all, or nearly all, of their demands met against the wishes of the union leadership. So there is there is a pattern at work here in the aftermath of the pandemic, and it must be related to the so called great quit or great resignation. But there are also several important caviats that we have to keep in mind
