The Semantics of a Programming Language
In a scripting language, a program is like a series of statements. So the root node of your program is going to be like this program node and it will have this list of child statement nodes. And then either after that or during that, there's a resolution process, which is where you start figuring out how different parts of the program refer to each other. It ends up kind of blowing up into something that feels like kind of verbose and legal these, right?
