The Tsarist Army and the Russian Army
If you're looking for an analog for the Russian army, you're much closer to the Tsarist army that today have nothing to do with the Soviet model. The underlying identities of people rooted in culture, religion, language and so forth, they don't change. And incidentally, I think that's what we're seeing in the United States. We're trying to construct new new people, some new artificial construct, because people aren't real.
