I love New York City but the idea that you have to be there to make it is so utterly false in misleading and misguided. The famous line from John Maynard Keynes is better to fail conventionally than to succeed unconventionally what they call in fund management a reputational risk. I was very fortunate early on to kind of to have experiences and mentors that show me that lesson almost out of the gate.
