Murdock writes as some one who is living and feeling through the problems which she writes about. She's clearly drawing on experiences from her own life, says Anni an. It really marks a difference from the way in which so many moral philosophers think of what they're doing. A lot of moral philosophiis written in this cold, detached style - almost like anthropologists. But that's not murdock's view; she's writing as someone who wants to make us morally better.
