John polkinghorn was a brilliant physicist as well as theologian. His work shows that evolutionary biology and christian theology can quite successfully be brought together. But he seems to assume a fallen state exist when life occurred, rather than their being a specific event once humans came into being. Is there a biblical way of understanding the fall, which also allies it with evolutionary biology? That's phil's question.
